Measured Works was selected as a finalist in the GreenWORKS competition, sponsored by the City of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Enterprise Green Communities. The competition brief called for multi-unit, single family attached housing on a 1/4 site in Santa Fe, and required entries to meet prescribed sustainable and affordable criteria, as well as the neighborhood’s historic design standards.

MWA’s entry received an honorable mention for “being highly replicable on other sites and realistic to build.”

Carl and Measured Works were featured in an online article discussing the emerging interest in sustainable architecture.

Oro Editions published a book featuring three recent projects by Suyama Peterson Deguchi Architects, including the Decatur Residence, for which Carl served as project architect.

Measured Works submitted a design for the 2008 AIA Committee on Design ideas competition, which called for the design of a suburban home for a family of four and their hydrogen fueled automobile.

Our entry proposed to collect and store rainwater as the exclusive potable water source, while filtering & reusing waste water to create a total closed loop plumbing system. Because the exhaust of hydrogen is water vapor, the family car contributes to the process.
